OPSC recruitment 2022: The Odisha Civil Service Commission has invited applications from eligible candidates for the positions of 1) Deputy Director (Group “B”) under the Odisha Planning Department; and 2) Deputy Head of Handicraft Class II (Group B) under the Odisha Handicraft Service. Candidates duly fulfilling the eligibility criteria for the positions chosen can proceed with the online recruitment applications with the mandatory digitized testimonials according to the dates notified separately with reference to the 1st and 2nd positions. There are 12 (03+09) vacancies

The online recruitment process for the first post of Deputy Director (Group “B”) under the ongoing Odisha Planning Service will end on 12 October 2022 (12.10.2022).

The online recruitment process for the second Deputy Head of Handicraft Class II (Group B) position under Odisha Handicraft Service starts on 27th September 2022 (27.09.2022) and will end on 26th October 2022 (26.10.2022). 2022).

Job Name: Deputy Director (Group “B”) under Odisha Planning Department

Total 09 vacancies (including 05 reserved for UR and 03 numbers for women included)

Age limit (as of 01.01.2022): General merit candidates must be at least 21 years old and at most 38 years old. Relaxation of upper age limits for reserved community applicants.

Level of studies: The candidate must have one of the academic qualifications cited in the following lines.

Bachelor’s degree with Honors and Graduate Diploma in Economics/Applied Economics/Agricultural Economics/Business/Mathematics/Sociology with Statistics as one of the fields of Anthropology/Demography/Geography/with Cartography or Land Planning as one of articles/statistics/econometrics/regional planning from any university or equivalent institution duly recognized by Indian or foreign government.

Desirable:

The Candidate must also

i) be able to read, write and speak the Odia dialect and

ii) have passed college with Odia as a language subject or

iii) have passed the Secondary School Certificate Examination (Matriculat) with Odia as a means of examination in a non-linguistic subject or

iv) have passed Odia as a Language Subject in the Class VII Final Examination of any school or educational institution duly recognized by the Central Government or the Government of Odisha

v) have passed a test in Odia in the Standard of School of English Medium conducted by the School and Mass Education Department (SMED).

Mandatory testimonials in original to be provided during the Viva-voce

1) All certificates relating to education. 2) Certificates of experience. 3) Sports certificates. 4) Caste or community certificate (if applicable). 5) Proof of address, among others

Selection process: Selection for Deputy Director (Group “B”) under Odisha Planning Department includes 02 steps followed by preparation of merit list; Stage I composed of 02 parts (02 articles with 100 multiple choice questions, total of 200 multiple choice questions + 02 articles with 150 multiple choice questions each, total of 300 objective type multiple choice questions for a maximum of 500 points (200 points + 300 points) There will be a negative mark of ¼ (0.25) for each incorrect answer submitted by candidates, and Stage II: Personality Test/Personal Interview for 50 points followed by checklist deserved.

Step 1: Duration of the exam: 02 hours; 100 objective-type multiple-choice questions each, total of 200 multiple-choice questions for 200 points (Paper 1 and Paper 2, each correct answer in both tests is worth +01 point

The written test consists of 03 compulsory tests with 01 optional test.

Paper I: General English and Paper III: Economics 02 Papers for 200 Marks

Part II with exam duration of 02 hours: General Knowledge and General Social Studies 300 objective-type multiple-choice questions (each paper must have 150 multiple-choice questions) for a maximum of 300 points (each paper bears a maximum of 150 points) and test IV remains 03 Duration of the exam.

The written test consists of 03 tests with an exam duration of 02 hours allocated for each test:

Paper I: General English and Odia language: 100 (50+50) objective type multiple choice questions for 100 (50+50) points

Paper II: Mathematics and test of reasoning and mental abilities (MAT): 1OO (50+50) multiple-choice questions for 100 (50+50) points

Paper III: General studies: 100 multiple-choice questions for 100 points

Part II with exam duration of 02 hours: General Knowledge and General Social Studies 300 objective-type multiple-choice questions (each paper must have 150 multiple-choice questions) for a maximum of 300 points (each paper bears a maximum of 150 points) and test IV remains 03 Duration of the exam.

Step 2: Viva-voce/Personality test/Personal interview for 50 points
