Fowey Hall Hotel Group ‘so proud’ to win ‘Top Employer’ award for 2022

A beachfront hotel in scenic Fowey has won the ‘Best Employer’ award for 2022. The Fowey Hall Hotel is part of the Luxury Family Hotels group which has proven to have a “great approach to recruitment, retention and progression.

It comes after widely documented staffing issues in Cornwall and the hospitality industry more generally. A hotel boss recently told CornwallLive that the benefits system needed an overhaul as venues were ‘understaffed’.

But the Fowey Hall Hotel, which is believed to have inspired The wind in the willows by Toad Hall, and its sister sites seem to be doing something right as it received the “Top Employer” award in 2022 Excellence Awards Springboard. The company’s managing director said “we are so proud” and that the human resources team works “tirelessly to harness, develop and support hospitality talent”.
