Fast-growing financial planning group Kingswood has hired two experienced advisers for its London and Kent offices.
The company has hired Max Sullivan, formerly of Sandringham Financial Partners and Quilter Financial Planning, and Jade Rose, of Byblos Bank and a former financial planner at St James’s Place Wealth Management.
The company’s recruiting drive follows a busy period of acquisitions. Kingswood has completed six acquisitions so far this year, most recently Smith Pearman & Associates, a Hampshire-based IFA, with the deal closing on August 1.
Mr. Sullivan is a qualified financial advisor with over five years of financial services experience. In his new role, he will provide holistic advice to clients in need of financial planning and wealth management, with a focus on investments, retirement planning and intergenerational wealth planning. He will also lead Kingswood’s partnership with Irwin Mitchell LLP in the south of England.
Prior to joining Kingswood, Mr. Sullivan was Director of an IFA firm under Sandringham Financial Partners (part of M&G) and Head of Acquisitions at Quilter. He has also worked for TSB Bank in a variety of roles. He is currently in the process of achieving Chartered Adviser status.
Ms. Rose, formerly Account Manager at Byblos Bank, is a qualified wealth planner and has over eight years of experience in financial services. In her new role at Kingswood, she will provide financial advice to entrepreneurs and those in the creative industries.
The appointments follow a busy year for Kingswood with record revenue and operating profit in 2021. Turnover reached £149.7m in the last 12 months, up 488% on compared to 2020, and operating profit increased by £5.5m to £6.3m, reflecting acquisitions. in the UK and growth in the US.
