UPSC Recruitment 2022: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is inviting applications from eligible candidates for the post of Labor Law Enforcement Officer (Central) at the Office of the Chief Labor Commissioner Central in New Delhi . Applicants who believe they have duly met the eligibility criteria for Labor Law Enforcement Officer (Central) in the General Central Service – Group ‘B’, Official Position, Non-Ministerial Position under the Ministry of Labor and Employment can make an online recruitment request (ORA).

Posting and nature of the position: The posting is of a permanent nature,

Wage scale: Tier 7 (Rs.44900 to Rs.142400) in Remuneration Matrix as per CCS (RP) 2016 Rules.

Upper age limit: Not to exceed 30 years. Relaxable for Regularly Appointed Central Territory/Union Government Officials up to 05 years of age as per instructions/orders issued by Government of India from time to time. For age concessions applicable to other categories of candidates, the “Instructions and additional information for candidates concerning recruitment by selection are available for consultation.

With regard to former servicemen and officers, including ECO/SSCO, the upper age is relaxed by 05 years provided that at the deadline for receipt of applications, the continuous service rendered in the armed forces by a former soldier or at least six months after the certificate. This upper age relaxation is also available to ECOs/SSCOs who have completed their initial assignment period of five years of military service and whose assignment has been extended beyond five years on the end date. the online registration of the application and in the case of which the Ministry of Defense issues certificates that they will be released within 3 months of the selection from the date of receipt of the offer of appointment. Applicants claiming relaxation of age under this paragraph should submit/produce a certificate in the prescribed form to the Union Civil Service Commission.

Essential Qualities: The candidate must possess the following essential qualifications.

A) Educational: 1) Bachelor degree in any discipline with Commerce or Economics or Sociology or Social Work as one of the subjects from any duly recognized university or institute.

Professional: Degree in Law or Labor Relations or Labor Welfare or Labor Law or Industrial Relations or Sociology or Commerce or Social Work or Social Affairs Administration or Personnel Management from any university or institute duly acknowledged.

B) Live: 01 years of experience in Labor Law or Workplace Welfare or Labor Relations or Personnel Management in any industrial organization or government establishment.

Footnote 1: The qualifications provided are relaxed at UPSC’s discretion for otherwise well-qualified candidates.

Footnote 2: The candidate’s experience qualification(s) may be relaxed at the discretion of UPSC, for reasons to be documented in the case of those in the Scheduled Caste community, if at any stage of selection, UPSC is of the opinion that it is unlikely that a sufficient number of candidates from this Community with the Required Experience will be available to fill the positions reserved for them.

Note-II: In the event of large numbers of applications received from applicants/candidates, the Union Civil Service Commission will adopt the screening criteria to limit the number of eligible candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable number by a or more of the Methodologies as mentioned below:

(a) “Based on the desirable qualification (DQ) or one or all of the desirable qualifications (DQ) if more than one desirable qualification is prescribed”.

b) On the basis of diplomas higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement.

c) On the basis of superior experience in the field concerned than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement.

d) Counting previous professional work experience before or after acquiring the essential qualifications.

e) Invoking previous work experience even in cases where no experience is mentioned either as an essential qualification (EQ) or as a desirable qualification (DQ).

f) By organizing a Recruitment Test (RT).

Therefore, the candidate must mention all his qualifications and experience in the relevant field in addition to the minimum qualifications.

Note-III: Important points:

Viva-voce / Personality Test weighs 100 points in total, explained below:

i) The minimum level of aptitude per category in the interviews (100 points), whether the selection is made only by interview or by recruitment test (RT) followed by the interview, will remain:

a) 50 minimum non-reserved qualification points to be obtained out of a total of 100 points. b) Economically weaker sections 50 points. c) Other backward community: 45 points, c) Scheduled caste/scheduled caste/persons with reference disabilities (PwBD): 40 points.

ii) In cases where the selection is made through a recruitment test (RT) followed by a personal interview, the candidate will be required to meet the minimum level of aptitude in their respective categories at the interview stage.

Registration fees and method of payment:

a) Applicants will be required to pay an application fee of Rs. 25.00 (Twenty-five Rupees only) only either by handing the money over to any branch of State Bank of India in cash or using the service online banking from the State Bank of India or by using a Visa/Master credit/debit card.

b) The Reserved Community (SC/ST/PwBD) and applicants from any community remain exempt from paying the application fee.
