KU Children’s Services was once again recognized as an employer of choice at The Australian Business Awards, the sixth consecutive year that the early childhood education and care provider (ECEC) has been awarded this prestigious honor.
The award recognizes KU as a premier employer that has maximized the full potential of its workforce through established policies and practices that demonstrate effective employee recruitment, engagement and retention.
KU was the first early childhood education provider to win the award six years ago and, with more than 2,000 employees in 130 departments, has established itself as one of the leading employers in Australia’s ECEC sector.
âAs an industry leader, we recognize that our people are our greatest asset and pride ourselves on our positive corporate culture which fosters innovation, recognizes performance and offers development opportunities,â said Christine Legg, CEO of KU Children’s Services.
âWe work together to ensure quality early education for children and encourage others to work alongside us to strengthen our commitment to ensure that every child receives high quality early education,â she added.
To achieve victory, KU had to demonstrate its achievements in the following key areas:
- Organizational culture
- Leadership and strategy
- Employee education
- Training and development
- Health, safety and employee satisfaction
- Performance management; and,
- Recognition and remuneration.
The submission was then evaluated using a rigorous and dynamic framework comprised of specialized evaluation criteria and sub-criteria, allowing KU and other participating organizations to be benchmarked against world-class performance standards.
